simple Greek yogurt taco dip - An easy and healthier dip with probiotics. | realfoodsimple.com

This taco dip takes 5 minutes to make and tastes great. Why is this healthy? Because by using greek yogurt as your base, you are actually getting some probiotics as well. And considering that this will probably be served with tortilla chips...at a party...with lots of appetizers...and other foods of questionable healthfulness, even a little healthiness can help.

You can use sour cream instead of the yogurt and it will still work great and taste great, but no probiotics.

I would suggest making your own homemade taco seasoning from scratch. This is one change that you can easily make to ensure you are using the best spices without added MSG, sugar, colorings or flavorings.

Ingredients

16 oz plain greek yogurt or sour cream
2 Tbsp. taco seasoning
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. sliced black olives
2 Tbsp. green onions

Directions

In a small bowl, mix the yogurt and taco seasoning.  In a 9 inch pie pan or baking dish, spread the yogurt on the bottom. Layer the cheese next. Sprinkle the top with olives and onions.

That's it. You can serve it with chips, or bread, or spoons. It is really quick, tastes great, and seems much fancier than it is.
